The Legend of Lightning and Thunder shortlisted for two Canadian Library Association awards

The Legend of Lightning and Thunder has been shortlisted for the Canadian Library Association’s Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Award! This award recognizes the illustrator of a Canadian book for children up to age 12. Congratulations to illustrator Jo Rioux!

The book is also a finalist for the CLA’s Book of the Year for Children Award, which recognizes the best Canadian books for children up to age 12. It is one of ten finalists out of nearly 200 nominated titles! See all the shortlisted titles here, and see our press release on the left.
