Stories of the Amautalik

Stories of the Amautalik This unit is geared towards grades 4, 5, and 6 primary students. It consists of pre-reading, reading, and post-reading activities that focus on the student’s comprehension of the two stories. Students will learn the elements of a folktale, create character webs, learn the five W’s of story comprehension, and create an event timeline. In addition, students will explore three of the major themes including shamanism, survival, and bullying.
