“All aboard our little boat!
We’ll sail all night.
Let’s see where we float!”
Full speed ahead as two siblings sail off for dreamland! Before these two can settle down under the covers, they cruise off onto the Arctic Ocean to bid goodnight to narwhals and guillemots, minkes and belugas. They sail past clouds shaped like polar bears and marvel at the multitudes of stars that twinkle between them. Before dawn pulls them back to their own cozy bedroom, they snack with the seals on the bow of their ship, waving goodbye as from dreamland to daytime they go.

Praise
“Holden has written a charming story. . . the story cleverly aligns with the natural rhythms of a child’s bedtime. Steeped in action and adventure at the beginning, the story is designed to immediately capture a child’s attention and imagination. As the narrative continues, the action slows and the seas calm, encouraging readers to do the same. . .This is a sweet book that’s perfect for drowsy dreamers.”—Quill & Quire
“[W]ith her energetic rhyming that has us travelling with the children on their dream boat, Sarabeth Holden is singing a lullaby for children to rest, imagine, and enjoy their lives in a different way.”—CanLit for Little Canadians
“Sea Snooze opens with a slightly chaotic bedtime scene relatable to many parents—two mischievous children are giggly and wide awake, and their bed is cluttered with stuffies, blankets, and a hockey stick. Mom, however, is calmly reading. She invites the children to get aboard their little boat, ‘We’ll sail all night. Let’s see where we float!’…The journey from energy to calm through this adventurous dreamscape is the perfect way to put young adventurers to sleep.”—Hakai Magazine
