Skraelings wins Aboriginal literature award

skraelings_cover_thumb2We are pleased to announce that Skraelings, a young adult novel by Rachel and Sean Qitsualik-Tinsley, has been awarded the Burt Award for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Literature!

Now in its third year, the award recognizes Indigenous authorship that benefits First Nations, Métis, and Inuit youth. “Through engaging writing that reflects lived realities and contemporary issues of indigenous youth, we hope to provide the spark to allow more and more youth the chance discover a love of reading,” says CODE Executive Director Scott Walter.
