Kayla Williams and Jamesie Fournier selected for CCBC national tour

Kayla Williams and Jamesie Fournier are two of 39 authors and illustrators who will be touring Canada in the spring.

“During the week-long event, touring authors and illustrators will celebrate the magic of creating stories and the joy of books and reading with kids and teens.

The CCBC is thrilled to be offering something for everyone! Book Week 2026 will include sessions for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Kids and teens will have the chance to engage in exciting talks and workshops that explore writing and illustration techniques, STEM themes, activism, folklore, and so much more.

The upcoming national tour will take place from Sunday, April 26 to Saturday, May 2, 2026.

We will announce tour locations in late October 2025, and the application process will open then. Schools, libraries, bookstores and community organizations will be invited to submit their applications to host Book Week visits.”

Kayla Williams is the upcoming author of Labrador Skies. Jamesie Fournier is the author of Taaqtumi 2, Lemming’s First Christmas, Elements, and The Other Ones.
